Our Goat Milk Shampoo Bars are made with awesome ingredients like home-rendered tallow, creamy goat milk, and organic coconut oil. These bars make a soft, creamy lather that is cleansing without stripping your hair of moisture like some other shampoo bars. For the love of hair, they are luxurious!
Why a shampoo bar? Because this shampoo is solid, it doesn’t need artificial ingredients. The high liquid content of fluid, squeeze-bottle shampoos requires preservatives to help keep them germ-free, as well as a synthetic emulsifier (fancy words for something that keeps the oils and liquids from separating in the bottle). No need for artificial ingredients in this bar. Thank goodness!
Some bottled shampoos can strip the scalp of its natural oils, creating a “replenish” response that can cause the scalp and hair to become oily more quickly. Because this shampoo bar cleanses without stripping, some people find they can go longer between washes.
Need conditioner? Possibly not. I’ve put as many great fats as possible into this bar. Many of our customers — and I — find we don’t need conditioner. I use an overnight treatment once a week, just on the tips of my hair, and wash my hair in the morning as usual.
Secret: the “tip treatment” is really just our awesome beard balm; it’s packed with lanolin and vitamin E.
However, if you have super-dry hair, you may find you need a conditioner.
How to use it? Get your hair wet, hold the bar in your hand, and rub it into your hair near your scalp. It will make lots of lotiony bubbles. Lather your hair just like you would with bottled shampoo. I avoid “scrubbing” the bar into the ends of my hair and just let the lather wash down from the top of my head. Rinse and go. That’s it! Whoop!

Essential Oil Scented Shampoo Bars
Lemongrass is scented with a blend of pure essential oils (lemongrass, lavender, and a splash of tea tree) and colored with turmeric.
Tea Tree and Rosemary is infused with tea tree essential oil and rosemary essential oil and is a creamy white — the natural color of the soap.
Fragrance Oil Scented Shampoo Bars
Purple Rain is a purple bar and smells…well…quite royal. Ha! It has all the delicious scents — blackberry and violets, lavender and jasmine, and a sweet honey musk — and is colored with skin-safe colorants. Trust me, it’s a good one.
Juicy Melon has a fresh and bright scent of cantaloupe, honeydew, and a splash of apricot.
Green Apple is bright green and has the bright scent of a Granny Smith apple.
Whipped Colada — Holy smokes! I love this scent! It smells like the perfect island Piña Colada — delicious pineapple and coconut with hints of peach and wild berries.
Ingredients: All bars are made with the same base ingredients of organic coconut oil, goat milk, rice bran oil, locally rendered tallow and lard, and castor oil. Each variety is scented and colored accordingly as described above.
